Putnam has become home to a thriving antique district. Over four hundred dealers are based in this quiet town, attracting customers from the entire Northeast. Restaurants and specialty shops, banks and business services all complement the antique trade.

Adjacent to Interstate 395, the 171 acre Putnam Industrial Park is home to companies such as Staples, Dimension Polyant, CVI Laser and Control International.
